Drive for just 5 minutes to reach the Roman and Medieval Squares and sit down for a taste of authentic local Wine with a view over the Walls that surrounds the city of Lucca or drive 20 mins to grab an ice cream after sunbathing on the nearby beaches of the Versilia and Forte dei Marmi. Excursions to the nearby sites and towns of Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano and Cinque Terre, known for its colourful villages perched on the rocky riviera are a must.

It seems that the landscaping could have been slightly improved. Noticed several bushes needed pruning. Also, definite improvement on the recycling process. If you have a printed instructions about using colored bins, then you need to have the colosee more
It seems that the landscaping could have been slightly improved. Noticed several bushes needed pruning. Also, definite improvement on the recycling process. If you have a printed instructions about using colored bins, then you need to have the colored bins available. I would recommend labeling each bin as well as having 2 of each bin (white, brown, green, etc). Get rid of the grey bins as they only served to provide confusion. Remember that your guests are not at all familiar with the local recycling rules. It was actually a big negative on the experience as a whole. Find some way to simplify the process.

Our visit to Villa The Secret Escape fulfilled every expectation of a five star resort vacation. Ten minutes outside of Lucca by car and approximately one hour from Firenze, the villa is situated at the top of the mountain in the quaint town of Sant Alessio, affording everyone lovely vistas of the Tuscan countryside. It was the perfect location from which to visit Pisa, Cinque Terre and the Chianti hills. Our group of four couples spent one week in this lovely home and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We made good use of the kitchen which is very well-equipped and had some memorable meals on the lovely terrace. Thanks so much to Erica for being an amazing host. We enjoyed her visits and found her delightful. She encouraged us to fill her home with laughter and music and warmly thanked us for doing so. From the welcoming moments to the tearful goodbyes, our hosts were delightfully hospitable, filled each and every request and did so warmly and well. While the photographs on the site present the beauty of the villa, they do not justly reflect the spirit of this authentic and elegantly appointed Tuscan home. We shall return so that once again we can tread the same steps as those from centuries before and imagine what life could be in the Tuscan countryside. Many thanks for a lovely stay! The house, the setting, and the hospitality were perfect! We had 9 family members, so we had almost a full house. It was a beautiful home with excellent accomodations. The photographs do not do it justice. Erica and Lucca Apartments and Villas staff see more
The house, the setting, and the hospitality were perfect! We had 9 family members, so we had almost a full house. It was a beautiful home with excellent accomodations. The photographs do not do it justice. Erica and Lucca Apartments and Villas staff are very attentive and even brought us a bottle of wine. It was amazing! They checked on us daily to ensure our stay at their historic home was a trip of a lifetime, and it was. The view, the view is spectacular (I have a large photo of the view on my desk at work and stare at it each day). The house is situated atop a hill just north of Lucca. The view to the south-southeast was a stunning Tuscan valley complete with a church and bell tower with mountains as a backdrop. Our favorite room was the outdoor dinning area. We never went out to eat dinner. We cooked in the wonderful kitchen and ate every breakfast and dinner soaking up that view and enjoying time with family. The walled city of Lucca is only a few miles away and it was one of our favorite places in all of Italy. From the great location we were able to vist Cinque Terre (do not miss this unique area), Florence, Pisa, and of course Lucca (several times). However, the best part of our trip was this wonderful old house with all the amenities. We did not want to leave. Thank you Erica
